During a nostalgic trip through my previous posts I discovered this
Could park a bus in that leading, don’t get me started on the orphans. Shocking.
My final posters and process book for the D&AD Studio Output brief to design a typographic poster for the Ministry of Sound. The idea behind this was to capture the atmosphere of a club and club culture then to communicate that in a visual form. I focused on the darkness, light projection and drug usage within clubs. I think it paints a more honest view of what they are actually like, or what I’ve experienced them to be.
I’d write in more depth, but it’s not that interesting.
whoosh, finally finished this project, going to print tomorrow.
Here is one of my 3 posters for the Ministry of Sound brief, it works on the bases that clubbing would never be described as ‘funny’, nor would it ever tell a joke. You could say it is without comic. Comic Sans.
Initial experiments for a D&AD brief on the Ministry of Sound. If you’re reading this and you’re entering also. I’m watching.
RIP to one of the best rappers that has ever graced a mic.
*EDIT*
Dropped the type size a bit, I felt it was too big.
Recently found out I had the Emigre font ‘Mrs Eaves’ and I also found out I love uppercase Q’s.
The natural next step is to design a Q and not U poster in awe of this brilliant album.
Obviously.
